Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring profit regardless of the outcome, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each player winning. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, varying levels of expertise among market participants, and the influence of public sentiment. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbooks in accuracy, particularly when a large and informed trading volume develops.

Unexpected results in other matches involving these players, or even broader trends in the world of women’s tennis, could also impact trading volume and price movements. Any significant information that alters the assessment of each player’s chances of winning is likely to be reflected in the market.
