Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a 'wisdom of the crowd' that can differ from traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own information and beliefs. As a result, you may find that the implied probabilities in this market diverge from those offered by sportsbooks, potentially offering value to informed traders. However, it's important to note that both represent probabilities of the same event occurring.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants. The current price indicates what traders believe is the likelihood of a specific fighter winning.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The fighter declared the winner by the official results will determine the winning outcome in this market. Any disputes or challenges to the official result will be considered by Polymarket’s resolution process.
