Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds due to varying information sources and incentives. Sportsbooks typically set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market allows traders to express their own independent assessments. If sportsbook odds significantly diverge from those seen here, it may indicate a disagreement about the likely outcome or differing levels of confidence in the available information. It’s important to consider both sources when forming your own opinion on the match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will climb, and vice versa.
