Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to express their view, potentially incorporating information not yet fully priced in by bookmakers. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Examining these differences can provide valuable insights into public sentiment and potential value bets, though past performance is not indicative of future results.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now.
