Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance their risk, while this market allows participants to freely express their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or levels of expertise among participants. If there’s a significant difference between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it might signal an opportunity for arbitrage or indicate that the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event. It's important to consider both sources of information when making a prediction.
