Generally, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to profit from margins, while this market allows bettors to directly express their beliefs. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities of an outcome, and neither is guaranteed to be perfectly accurate. Analyzing these differences can provide valuable insights into public perception and potential value.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the collective intelligence of the traders participating, and it adjusts dynamically as new information becomes available. This creates a real-time assessment of the likelihood of each possible result.
This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Pace vs Soke match, as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which outcome is the winner. Traders who held shares in the correct outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution.
