Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows anyone to trade and express their beliefs. If prediction market participants believe a sportsbook's odds are inaccurate, they can trade in a way that adjusts the price until it reflects their collective assessment. This dynamic can lead to discrepancies, with this market potentially offering more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches.
