Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which may be influenced by factors like house bias or initial line setting. Sportsbooks typically set initial odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant difference emerges between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, arbitrage opportunities may arise for informed traders. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast outcomes as the event approaches and more information is incorporated.
