Often, prediction market odds can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks, reflecting the wisdom of the crowd and differing incentives. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both venues. However, it's important to remember that prediction markets and sportsbooks have different user bases and information sources, leading to potentially varied assessments of the likely result.
