Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market relies on individuals trading based on their own research and insights. These differences can arise from varying levels of expertise, access to information, or simply differing opinions about the likely outcome of the Zaparyniuk vs Muller match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand – if many traders believe Anastasiya Zaparyniuk will win, the price of shares representing her victory will rise, and vice versa for Nikoletta Muller.
