Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market is driven purely by participants’ beliefs about the likely outcome. Often, you’ll find that prediction markets are more accurate than traditional forecasts, especially when factoring in information not readily available to the public. However, sportsbook odds can still provide a useful benchmark for comparison and identifying potential value in this market.
