Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the beliefs of a diverse group of traders. If sportsbook odds significantly differ from those found here, it may indicate disagreement about the true probability of an outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional oddsmakers, especially when information isn’t widely available or is subject to bias. Examining the difference can reveal insights into public perception versus informed prediction.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares, the price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the collective intelligence of the crowd and adjusts dynamically as new information becomes available. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand among traders on Polymarket.
