Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can express that view through trading on Polymarket, potentially causing the prediction market odds to diverge from those offered by sportsbooks. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. As more shares are bought, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of success. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform uses a constant product market maker model, meaning that the product of the number of shares for each outcome remains constant, adjusting prices based on supply and demand. This creates a liquid and efficient market for forecasting the result of the Korhonen vs Mattioli match.
This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Korhonen vs Mattioli match as reported by the governing sporting body.
