Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, often incorporating information and analysis not immediately available to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on team statistics and expert opinions, this market allows anyone to trade based on their own insights. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of prediction markets where odds adjust rapidly with new information. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbooks in response to breaking news or changing sentiment.
