Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public sentiment strongly disagrees with the sportsbook's initial assessment. If a large number of traders believe an outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price of shares representing that outcome will rise on Polymarket. It's important to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome – in this case, a win for either Zijun Jiang or Daria KHOMUTSIANSKAYA. The price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, providing a dynamic assessment of the event's potential results. The market efficiently incorporates information as traders express their views.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the W35 Kunshan match between Zijun Jiang and Daria KHOMUTSIANSKAYA. The platform will look to established sports news sources and official tournament results to determine the winner. The outcome will be clearly indicated on Polymarket once it is verified, and shares will be settled accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for updates as the event approaches.
