Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a particular outcome, the prediction market odds may move in the opposite direction. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice-versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the aggregate assessment of all participants, constantly adjusting to new information and sentiment. The current price indicates what traders collectively believe is the likelihood of each team winning.
This market resolves around Nov 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Kunshan W35 match between Chengyiyi Yuan and Yushan Shao, as determined by the official tournament organizers. The winning team will be identified, and that outcome will be used to settle the market. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will not.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, team form, or changes in strategy could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other matches involving these teams might also impact the perceived probabilities. Furthermore, significant betting activity or large trades on Polymarket could cause noticeable price movements. Publicly available analysis from sports commentators or experts could also sway opinions and affect trading volume, leading to changes in the odds for this market.
