Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often incorporating information not immediately available to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on team or player statistics and expert analysis, this market allows for continuous adjustment based on new information and the collective insights of many participants. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions on factors like player form, injury news, or even subtle strategic advantages. Comparing these odds to those offered by sportsbooks can reveal where the market diverges from conventional wisdom.
