Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines. If a significant amount of money is wagered on one outcome, the odds will shift accordingly. It's common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbooks in response to new information or changing sentiment, offering a potentially more dynamic assessment of the likely result.
