Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market relies on the collective insights of traders. If there’s a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the crowd perceives information differently than the sportsbook, or that one venue has more accurate information. It’s useful to compare the two to identify potential value or mispricings, but remember that each represents a different form of forecasting.
