Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks typically set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective intelligence of traders. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant news or events. Bookmakers may adjust their lines based on public betting patterns, but this market directly represents the aggregated beliefs of those willing to put capital behind their predictions. Analyzing both can provide a more comprehensive view of potential outcomes.
