Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially when a large volume of traders participate. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust to new information and reflect the wisdom of the crowd. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, providing opportunities for informed traders.
