Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s prices are driven purely by supply and demand. If a significant number of traders believe one player has a higher chance of winning than sportsbooks suggest, the price for that outcome will increase. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a different assessment of probabilities. It’s common to see prediction markets converge with sportsbook odds as the event approaches, but notable differences can persist.
