Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals freely trading based on their own analysis and information. Therefore, discrepancies can arise due to differing perspectives, access to information, or simply the dynamic nature of a decentralized market. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks.
