Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If there's a significant discrepancy, it might indicate that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular result. It’s important to compare and contrast to form your own informed opinion.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a specific outcome in the Shenzhen tennis match.
