Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing a player’s chances, the prediction market odds may move in the opposite direction. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of information becomes publicly available, and these differences can present opportunities for informed traders.
