Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. If prediction market odds diverge significantly from sportsbook lines, it may indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event, or that new information hasn't been fully incorporated into sportsbook odds yet.
