Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market relies on individuals wagering their own capital. As a result, you may observe discrepancies between the implied probabilities on Polymarket and those offered by sportsbooks. These differences can arise from varying levels of information, biases, or simply differing interpretations of the event's likely outcome. It's a useful exercise to compare the two to see where the crowd diverges from professional oddsmakers.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe a particular player will win, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb. Conversely, if sentiment shifts towards the other player, the price will decrease. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds continuously adapt to new information and changing perceptions.

This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Monastir tennis match between Martyna Zaremba and Nika Cakarun, as reported by a recognized tennis authority. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which player emerged victorious and settle the market accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand how this market will be settled.

Several factors could influence the odds in this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions (such as weather), or updates on player form could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other matches involving these players, or even broader trends in the W15 Monastir tournament, might also play a role. Furthermore, large trades on Polymarket could create short-term price movements, especially if they represent a strong conviction from a notable trader. Monitoring tennis news and observing trading volume will be key to understanding potential shifts.
