Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of supply and demand within the prediction market. Comparing these odds to those offered by sportsbooks can reveal where the crowd believes there is value or mispricing in either market.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price indicates the market's aggregate forecast, and traders can profit if their prediction proves more accurate than the collective wisdom reflected in the price.
This market resolves around Oct 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Yiru Chen vs Anna Yang match, as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which outcome wins. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their positions based on the final result.
