On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy shares in a specific player, the price of those shares increases, reflecting growing confidence in their victory. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic process ensures that the market price constantly adjusts to incorporate new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Maanshan tennis match between Milana Konovalova and Shutong Qu. The platform will verify the winner based on publicly available sources such as official tournament websites and sports news outlets. The final result will determine which shares pay out 1 USDC each, and which expire worthless, based on the winning player in the match.
Several factors could influence the trading activity and price movement in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or updates on their recent performance could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected results in other matches leading up to the event, or even social media commentary from tennis analysts, could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, large volume trades on Polymarket itself can create momentum and drive price fluctuations as traders react to perceived advantages or disadvantages for either player in the Maanshan tennis match.
