Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows anyone to trade and express their beliefs. If prediction market participants have access to information not yet reflected in sportsbook lines, or simply disagree with the sportsbook’s assessment, the odds here can diverge. It’s common to see prediction markets as more accurate forecasts, especially closer to the event, as they aggregate diverse perspectives.
