Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess the probability of an outcome. This can lead to differences, especially when public opinion diverges from expert analysis. It’s common to see this market reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially identifying value where sportsbooks may be less accurate in their initial assessments. Comparing the two can be a useful strategy when making informed predictions.
