Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess the probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, with this market potentially offering more favorable odds if there’s strong disagreement with the sportsbook’s initial assessment. It's common to see prediction markets aggregate information and wisdom of the crowd more effectively than traditional bookmakers, especially as the event approaches and more trading occurs.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe a particular player will win, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of those trading on the platform, offering a unique signal compared to static odds.

Several factors could influence the trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or updates on their recent performance could significantly impact predictions.
