Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of bettors, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which may be influenced by house biases or differing risk assessments. Sportsbooks typically set initial lines to balance betting action, while this market allows traders to freely adjust probabilities based on information and analysis. Discrepancies can arise due to varying levels of information available to each group, or differing interpretations of the same data. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than traditional sportsbooks.
