Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets, like Polymarket, allow traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public opinion strongly favors one outcome. It's common to see prediction markets reflect a more nuanced view, aggregating the wisdom of the crowd. Comparing the odds can reveal where the market believes sportsbooks may be over or underestimating the likelihood of certain results in this match.
