Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders’ willingness to buy or sell. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, arbitrage opportunities may arise for informed traders. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups, and neither is guaranteed to be perfectly accurate.
