Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to differences in implied probabilities, particularly when there's significant public interest or disagreement about the likely outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information or shifts in sentiment than sportsbooks, as traders can continuously update their positions. Analyzing both can offer a more comprehensive view of the event’s potential.
