Sportsbooks establish lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market relies on individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a broader range of perspectives represented within the prediction market. Examining these differences can reveal insights into public perception and potential value bets, though it's important to remember that neither source is infallible.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome.
