Generally, prediction market odds often reflect information and insights beyond those considered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the collective wisdom of many traders. If sportsbook odds significantly differ from those seen here, it could indicate disagreement about key factors influencing the match, or that the market has identified information not yet priced into the sportsbook lines. It's important to compare to a range of sources when forming your own opinion.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the crowd. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a 'yes' share indicates the probability of Emilie Chablaix winning, while the price of a 'no' share reflects the probability of Gloria De Santis winning. The closer the price is to 100, the more confident traders are in that outcome.
