Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of bettors, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market is driven by individual traders' beliefs. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially early on, as prediction markets can incorporate information and analysis that sportsbooks may not immediately consider. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Polymarket tend to converge with those found at major sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share represents the probability of that outcome occurring, and traders aim to profit by correctly predicting the event's result. The market’s price is entirely determined by supply and demand from traders on the platform.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The platform will rely on publicly available and widely accepted sources to verify the final outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result, as determined by the event's official record.
