Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on their own analyses, while this market’s odds are determined by traders buying and selling contracts. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing or overvaluing a particular outcome, the prediction market odds will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges that isn’t yet fully incorporated into sportsbook lines. This can offer opportunities for informed traders.
