Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If sportsbook odds significantly deviate from those seen here, it could indicate disagreement about the fighters' true probabilities or differing levels of information available to each group. Analyzing these differences can reveal insights into market sentiment and potential value.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event. The current implied probability of a particular outcome is determined by the share price relative to 1, with higher prices indicating greater confidence.
This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the W100 Edmond, OK match between Julia Adams and Dana Guzman. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources to determine the winning fighter and settle the market accordingly. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will not.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 20, 2026. Any news regarding fighter injuries, changes in training regimens, or even pre-fight commentary from analysts could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected developments in the lead-up to the match, such as changes in weight class or reported health concerns, would likely cause significant price movement. Public opinion and betting trends from external sources could also impact trading activity and the overall price of shares in this market.
