Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their books and include a profit margin, while this market represents the collective belief of informed traders. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to remember that prediction markets are dynamic and can shift rapidly based on new information or changing sentiment, potentially converging with or diverging from sportsbook odds over time.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that the price of shares can fluctuate significantly based on news, analysis, or even large individual trades, providing a dynamic and responsive indicator of expectations for the Volkov vs. Tymofeev fight.
This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Volkov vs. Tymofeev fight as declared by the relevant governing body or official sources. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which outcome is the winning one. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment.
