Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, sometimes differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If sportsbook odds suggest a clear favorite, this market might show a more nuanced view if traders anticipate upsets or believe the sportsbook is mispricing the probability. It's valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded assessment of the likely outcome.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and collective intelligence of traders participating in this event.

This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Voinarovskyi vs. Skhabitskiy match, as reported by the governing sports body. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is the winner and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for updates as the resolution date approaches.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding the players’ form, potential injuries, or changes in their coaching strategies could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about the match location or conditions could also play a role. Furthermore, significant bets from informed traders, often referred to as “smart money,” can cause noticeable price movements. Monitoring news sources and observing trading activity on Polymarket will be key to understanding potential shifts in this market.
