Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially as the event draws nearer. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or seek to profit from public perception, while this market aggregates diverse opinions. However, initial sportsbook lines may differ significantly from the opening prices on Polymarket, as sportsbooks factor in a 'vig' or commission. As more information becomes available, the odds on this market and sportsbook lines will likely converge, though discrepancies can still occur due to differing risk assessments.

Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Late-breaking news regarding team injuries or suspensions to key players, changes in weather conditions that might favor one team’s playing style, or even significant tactical announcements from the managers could all shift trader sentiment. Unexpected lineup changes announced shortly before kickoff are also likely to cause volatility. Furthermore, any public statements from analysts or experts offering strong opinions about which team is more likely to score first could also impact trading activity in this market.
