These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the second half of a college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the Virginia vs Florida St. college football game scheduled for Oct 3, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored in the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of informed traders, and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines to balance betting action, while this market’s price is driven purely by supply and demand – what people are willing to pay based on their own analysis. Often, you’ll find that prediction markets are more accurate than traditional polls or analyst predictions, as they incentivize participants to be well-informed. However, sportsbook odds can still provide a useful benchmark for comparison, especially when assessing the perceived value in this market.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the outcome of the Virginia vs Florida State 2nd Half total. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the probability of the ‘Yes’ outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy ‘Yes’ contracts, the price increases, indicating growing confidence in that outcome. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. The market’s price reflects the aggregate assessment of all participants, making it a dynamic and responsive indicator of expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the second half of the Virginia vs Florida State game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official total points scored in the second half, as determined by official game statistics. Traders holding contracts on the winning side will receive a payout of 100 minus the commission, while those holding contracts on the losing side will forfeit their investment. The final result will be clearly displayed on Kalshi.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Virginia or Florida State would likely have a significant impact, as would updates on weather conditions that could affect the game’s scoring. Changes in public perception, driven by expert analysis or media coverage, could also shift the market. Finally, large trading volume from informed participants could indicate new information or a change in sentiment, potentially leading to substantial price movements in this market.
