Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd and the incentive structure. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin, while prediction markets allow traders to directly express their beliefs. This can lead to more accurate predictions, as market participants are incentivized to be correct. However, sportsbook odds can be influenced by factors like public perception and betting limits, which may not be fully reflected in this market. The efficiency of this market depends on participation and information available to traders.
