PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria based on second-half goals, tie-breaking, and cancellation procedures.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with fallback to Flashscore, then Sofascore, then consensus reporting.

Core resolution logic:

  • The market resolves based solely on goals scored in the second half of regular play plus any added stoppage time.
  • A 'Draw' outcome occurs if both teams score the same number of goals in the second half.
  • If the match is canceled without a reschedule, the market resolves to 'Draw'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: If the game is postponed, the market remains open until the game is completed.
  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 or to 'Draw' where applicable.
Timing: Resolution will occur once the second half of the match (including any added stoppage time) has concluded and official statistics are available, or within 24 hours using the specified fallback sources. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a more nuanced and aggregated view of potential outcomes than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while prediction markets are driven by the collective intelligence of many traders. This can lead to differences, particularly when there's significant public information or disagreement.
