This prediction market asks participants to forecast which player will score the first touchdown in the NFL game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions on November 1st. Touchdowns scored by defensive or special teams are excluded. The markets cover a wide range of potential scorers, including quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends.
First Touchdown Scorer markets for Vikings vs. Lions.
Each market resolves based on whether the specified player or defensive unit scores the first touchdown of the game. If the designated participant is active but does not take any snaps, the market settles at the fair market price before kickoff. Once a snap occurs, resolution depends solely on whether that participant scores the first touchdown. If no touchdowns are scored during the game, the 'No Touchdown' market resolves to Yes, and all other participant markets resolve to No. Touchdowns resulting from fake punts or offensive field goals do not count toward resolution. All markets are independent, and participation status—active but snapless—triggers specific settlement conditions prior to any scoring events.
Several signals could significantly move this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries to key offensive players on either team would have a substantial impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions for passing or running, could also shift probabilities. Late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions could influence traders’ expectations. Furthermore, significant betting activity on traditional sportsbooks, or public sentiment shifts reflected in social media, could create momentum in this market. Unexpected developments during pre-game warmups could also lead to rapid price adjustments.
