This market tracks the performance of individual golfers in the first two rounds of a professional golf tournament. It resolves based on whether specific participants achieve a strong early standing, reflecting their competitive form and positioning before the final rounds.
The market resolves to Yes for any listed golfer if they finish in the top 10 (including ties) after the first two rounds of the 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open. If a golfer forfeits, withdraws, or does not participate, the market resolves to Fair Market Price if the withdrawal occurs before teeing off, and to No if it occurs after teeing off. The event is unaffiliated with the PGA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. You may find that the implied probabilities derived from this market differ from sportsbook odds, particularly for outcomes that are heavily favored or considered unlikely. This difference can arise from varying levels of information, analytical approaches, and the influence of public opinion. It's a valuable exercise to compare the two and consider why discrepancies exist.
This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official leaderboard of the Vidantaworld Mexico Open golf tournament after the completion of Round 2, identifying the golfers who have secured a position within the top 10. The official results will be used to determine which contracts pay out, and at what value. Traders will be able to see the final outcome and settlement details on Kalshi following the tournament's conclusion.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before it resolves. Any news regarding a golfer’s health, form, or playing conditions could shift the odds. For example, a key player withdrawing due to injury or a sudden change in weather impacting scoring conditions could lead to substantial price movements. Live performance during Round 1 will also be a major catalyst, as strong or weak starts will quickly be reflected in the market. Unexpected pairings or course adjustments could also play a role, influencing traders’ assessments of each golfer’s chances.
