Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, however, is driven by individuals wagering their own capital, potentially leading to more accurate predictions as more information becomes available. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, biases, or simply varying opinions on the likelihood of each outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets adjust more rapidly to new information than sportsbooks.
